Dreams when I sleep and slumber
Can’t remember my phone number
Across oceans there’s trouble
They’ve done burst the bubble

And now it’s raining hard
The land’s burnt and charred
Rockets and missiles
Flaring

Bomb burst beyond caring
Bodies riddled with bullets
Laying about like dead pullets
And as if it even mattered

Blood sprayed ’round, splattered
The roar of guns blasting
A play with fantastic casting
Holes everywhere you look

Ain’t no time to try to cook
Many a boy that lay a dying
Mothers left behind crying
For their sons and daughters

Whirlwinds disturbing the waters
Broken wings without a sound
Feathers scattered on the ground
The silence is killing too

Shadows cast under you
While the sun is blotted out
And the outcome is in doubt
Laments and shouts for the dying

And in the distance signifying
A gruesome ape is grinning
As the world’s fate is spinning
