Forgotten mothers
With hidden crescendo
Along the glissando
Get two out of three

Allowing for rain
Tango once again
Bring your own lunch
Spare the mustard
And the custard too

Leave not the bottle
Cognac or brandy
And chocolate candy
Mind the ants
Who may gather

Eat greedily rather
Don’t be a glutton
Eat just enough
Stay neat and buff

Spiraling spirits on bluebird wings
Above earthly things
So little by little
Be also restored

Strike a new chord
Reckon carefully
Who’ll eat the dogs and cats?
Who’ll rid us of mice and rats?

When the river runs dry
Rocks start glowing
Grass keeps growing
Poison kisses point
To that ring finger
Lies that may linger
