I done been proclamated
And altohether emancipated
When some citizens retaliated
And to the past wanted it relegated.
Though some does still regret it,
It’s better that you don’t forget it,
Just in case you might upset it.
Mr. Lincoln himself has set it.
And of them that was trash,
For they often lacked the cash,
Could not afford the sash
Or extractions from their stash.
Nor could they count a penny,
For they were broke as many,
Always thin and rather skinny,
Mothered by Jane and Jenny.
For my friend in the end,
Who continues to pretend
That he’s altogether genuine,
Steadfast through thick and thin.
When you practice hypocrisy,
Undermining American Democracy,
Endorsing a mad autocracy,
Or kneeling in religious theocracy.
So it’s a real kind of bummer,
Worse than anything did last summer.
You keep on getting dumber,
Get a job as a bona fide plumber.
And you may be somewhat confused,
As I am evermore bemused,
Seeing your position defused,
And your ego battered and bruised.
What will you try to do next?
Come up with a witty text,
Make the concave convex,
Continuing with your pretext.
And while you wait for slavery’s return,
Please allow your soul in Hell to burn.
Then you may show your concern
For all the lessons you must learn.
Along with the plan to backtrack,
There are rules you seem to lack.
And though you haven’t got a fact
For your intention to wrongfully act.
Above and beyond the law,
There are reasons you never saw,
Like a ruling from Arkansas.
Break your icy grip with a thaw.
